When the first Power to Change media campaign took over the Lower Mainland of BC back in 1999, I was excited to be a part of the team that designed its first online presence.
Since then it has had at least seven different looks to the design to take care of campaigns that have run across Canada. Each one had the same underlying purpose, to share the stories of people that had their lives changed.
TruthMedia Internet Group put a new look on the site back in June and with a change to the software that now powers it, a few more features. For example, there is now a blog that can be used to share events that occur in different campaign cities but even more importantly, a place to share life stories submitted by and about everyday people.
One of those people is Terry.
At first I kept my nose clean. Trucking all over Canada and the United States, I was having fun. There was no shortage of fellow drivers to learn from or hang out with. They were more than ready to show me the ropes – they knew where the cheesy, trashy bars with cheap booze in the red light districts in the major cities were.

Love busters are habits that destroy romantic love. They develop soon after marriage and before long destroy intimacy, safety, trust and romantic love.
That’s why FamilyLife Canada and TruthMedia Internet Group are partnering together on LoveBusters.tv, which just recently launched. Check out the videos on LoveBusters.tv or on the LoveBusters YouTube channel.
The following video is just an introduction.

Charles Taylor, a Canadian professor and philosopher has won the $1.5 Million US dollar Templeton Prize for his theory that one cannot look at society’s problems of violence and bigotry without considering the spiritual aspect behind them.
“For nearly half a century [Taylor] has argued that problems such as violence and bigotry can only be solved by considering both their secular and spiritual dimensions,” said a news release from the prize organizers.

I’m proud of Taylor for being able to take the theory to the highest levels of Academia but honestly, is it just not expanding on what the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12?
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

In 1996, Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, International won the award.

I don’t mean the blockbuster movie. I mean the sinking ship.
James Cameron, the famous director of films such as The Terminator series and Titanic, has put together a documentary to be shown on the Discovery Channel this Sunday at 9pm Eastern that looks into what he feels is Jesus’ family.
However a quick look at the “evidence” shows that it isn’t quite scientific fact. The fact is, the DNA evidence is simply a negative match between 2 of the 10 mini caskets found in the tomb.
Even The Register finds it hard to swallow.
Equally shocking, at least to anyone who doesn’t buy their reading matter in airports, will be the news that Jesus fathered a son, when he was supposed to have spent his short life performing miracles, redeeming sinful mankind and generally fulfilling his divine mission.
Oh ya, I forgot to mention that this takes The Da Vinci Code one step further.

Keith pointed me towards a new site by Athletes in Action titled “Beyond the Ultimate.”

Each has coached his team to the verge of a world championship, something no African-American has ever done in professional football. They are old friends.
They coached together at Tampa Bay. But they also are bound together by something deeper and more profound than a love of football. Each of them, in his own way, is driven by a love of Jesus Christ.
If you are a football fan or know someone who is, wander over and check it out then send it to your buddies.

I could use your prayers over the next few days as I continue to battle the cold/flu that I have been struggling with off and on since New Years Eve.
Add to that two daughters who are also struggling with different illnesses and I am one worn out daddy. I’ve missed a few days of work and I cannot afford to miss anymore.
Thanks for your prayers.

It doesn’t have the media storm of controversy that preceded The Passion of the Christ, or the fictional reality of The Da Vinci Code. The latest foray by Hollywood into the religious theme is called The Nativity and by all accounts, it seems to be controversy free.
The Nativity Story is a film of the greatest story ever told and most initial reports say that it is pretty accurate.
At TruthMedia Internet Group, we want to help you use movies like The Nativity as an opportunity to introduce your circle of friends or square of acquaintances to Jesus Christ. That’s why we have put together another site to let you know about movies like The Nativity.
